Riding Cape in Pendleton's "White Sands", Icelandic Sheepskin and Leather Trim, Buffalo Horn Toggle.
About the pattern via Pendleton- " It's based on a Native American legend that says a hero disguised himself as a rabbit to capture fire for his people, a victory honored in this vivid design. Reverses to pattern's opposite."
Each Riding Cape is individually hand crafted and a unique creation. They are reversible for 2 different looks. This particular pattern reverses from a black horse to a white. A Western twist on the old Victorian style of Riding Capes, these pieces can be worn down or one side thrown over the shoulder as a wrap. Apres-ski to big city shopping, they are a standout in even the largest crowd.
We make our Riding Capes from authentic Pendleton Wool. This all natural jacquard fabric is naturally breathable and will acclimatize from outdoors to indoors, keeping you comfortable, without having to move layers. It is water resistant and virtually wind proof making it as rugged as it is beautiful.
Description of blanket - “Shifting dunes of shining white crystal rise from the Tularosa Basin at New Mexico’s White Sands National Monument. During the day the dunes shine white against the blue sky. At sunset, the sands glow with the vibrant hues of twilight, while desert flora, yucca, cholla and rice grass reach toward the last rays of the setting sun. This design is our homage to this striking and wild landscape."- Pendleton
All Riding Ponchos are completely custom and take 7-14 working days to complete.
