Riding Poncho in Pendleton's Harding Black and Tan and leather binding.
Traditionally Black and Tan is a simple layering of pale and dark beer. Well, wear this into a bar and maybe they just might offer you one ... once they gather themselves of course.
Pendleton's Harding Black and Tan Riding Poncho is made of authentic Pendleton Wool with a top grain leather binding. Perfect for campus, the store, the trail or the office, its style is only surpassed by its warmth.
The pattern itself is a symbol of expansion into the old west. The Harding design was created in honor of President Harding's trip out west to bestow special recognition upon a portion of the Oregon Trial. Local chiefs presented Harding's wife with a shaw of this design and it's been a favorite of Pendleton's crew and customers ever since.
As each poncho is completely custom, and reversible, it usually takes 10-14 days to create.
Pendleton® Wool is made in the USA and their legendary fabrics have been a staple in American homes- from the prairies to the White House, for over 130 years. Their Native American tribal designs are iconic and have been culturally intertwined with our North American Native Peoples over the last century. Considered heirloom quality, it is one of the finest wools in the world. As a designer, it is an honor and a privilege every day I get to work with these stunning and culturally significant fabrics
Our ponchos are made in Wyoming, USA from All American Made Materials.
